Japanese Goodies: Kit Kat Review

There are so many cool snacks and goodies here in Japan; one of my favorites is Kit Kat. Kit Kats are A-MAZING here. Unlike in America, Kit Kat comes in a variety of flavors and some you can even put in a toaster oven to bake! Whenever I’m in the grocery store I head straight to the candy aisle to see if there are any new flavors out. To me, searching for Kit Kats in different stores and in train stations is fun and exciting. My husband says that I’m a Kit Kat hoarder and have a problem, but just because I have ONE drawer with SOME Kit Kats in it doesn’t mean I have a problem, lol.

Recently, I found sweet potato and pumpkin Kit Kats and decided to do a little review on those and two others that I have tried before: Cheesecake and Cookies & Cream.

Sweet Potato and Pumpkin

Sweet Potato Kit Kat:
The sweet potato in this Kit Kat isn’t the sweet potato you are probably thinking of. Japanese sweet potatoes were used for this Kit Kat. Japanese sweet potatoes are totally different from the ones in the States. I don’t too much care for them but surprisingly the Kit Kat version was pretty good.
Halloween Kit Kat: Pumpkin
I was so excited when I found these. They taste just like a pumpkin spice latte and since I’m trying to stay away from coffee, this was  a treat! Definitely my favorite of the 4..

Cheesecake and Cookies & Cream

Cheesecake Kit Kat:
I didn’t enjoy the cheesecake ones. This may sound silly, but they tasted like cheese lol.  I guess the cheese flavoring was a bit too strong.

Cookies & Cream
Cookies & cream was very good. They actually tasted just like the ice cream! I put them in the freezer so I could really get the feeling that I was eating ice cream, lol.

I have so much fun trying different kinds of Kit Kats and I can’t wait to make another review!
Have you tried any of these crazy flavors?
Or Have you tried a flavor that I didn’t mention in this post?
Let me know!

We don't have a toaster oven, so we broiled them in the oven for about 1-2 mintues. This is what they looked like after
